The Embassy of India in Tehran has issued an advisory asking Indian nationals currently in Iran to remain indoors for the next 48 hours and avoid movement near sensitive locations, according to an official notice.
The advisory, issued on April 7, urges Indians to avoid electric and military installations, upper floors of multi-storey buildings, and to limit movement outside while the situation is being closely monitored.
Indian nationals have also been asked to coordinate any highway travel strictly with the Embassy and remain in contact with officials.
The advisory states that those staying in Embassy-arranged accommodations should continue to remain indoors while maintaining regular contact with on-site embassy teams.
“All are requested to monitor official updates closely,” the advisory said.
The Embassy also confirmed that its emergency contact numbers remain operational and can be used for assistance.
Emergency contact numbers provided include +989128109115, +989128109102, +989128109109, and +989932179359. Email assistance is available at cons.tehran@mea.gov.in.
