Shopian, April 20, KNT: Police in Shopian have attached an immovable property valued at ₹10 lakh belonging to Showkat Ahmad Dar, a resident of Dachoo Zainapora, as part of ongoing action against narcotics-related activities.

The property, measuring 10 marlas under Survey No. 62, was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from illegal drug trade, officials said.

The attachment has been carried out in connection with FIR No. 76/2025 registered at Police Station Zainapora.

Officials said the proceedings were conducted in the presence of a police team, Executive Magistrate, Lambardar, and Chowkidar to ensure legal compliance and transparency.

The action forms part of a broader strategy to dismantle drug networks by targeting not only individuals involved but also the assets created through illicit activities.

Police reiterated their commitment to curbing the drug menace and urged the public to share information related to drug trafficking and associated activities.
