Pulwama, April 22, KNT: The Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Pulwama has issued two public notices announcing a revised schedule for driving licence tests and the Board of Inspection for goods and passenger vehicles in the district.

Under the new schedule, driving licence tests will be conducted regularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Sathergund, Kakapora, Pulwama.

Applicants have been advised to appear only at the notified venue on the specified days, with authorities clarifying that no tests will be conducted at Chandgam Pulwama.

The department has also issued a strict advisory asking the general public not to visit Chandgam for driving licence tests.

In a separate notice, the ARTO outlined the schedule for the Board of Inspection at Chandgam Pulwama for commercial vehicles.

Passenger class vehicle inspections will be conducted every Monday from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, while goods class vehicle inspections will take place every Tuesday during the same time slot.

Officials have directed applicants appearing before the inspection board to carry all original documents, including fee receipt, Registration Certificate (RC), valid permit, Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, insurance certificate, and Speed Limiting Device (SLD) certificate wherever applicable.

Vehicle owners have also been instructed to present their vehicles in neat and clean condition, with officials warning that failure to comply with the guidelines may lead to non-inspection.

The revised schedule is aimed at streamlining the process and ensuring orderly conduct of tests and inspections in the district. [KNT]
