
Two Indian journalists, Anand RK and Suparna Sharma, have won the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for an illustrated reporting project exposing cybercrime networks in India.
They were awarded alongside Natalie Obiko Pearson in the Illustrated Reporting and Commentary category for their work produced for Bloomberg, according to the official announcement.
The project focused on uncovering aspects of cybercrime operations, using a combination of reporting and visual storytelling to present the findings in an accessible format.
The Pulitzer Board recognized the work for its investigative depth and innovative presentation, highlighting the growing role of illustrated journalism in explaining complex issues such as digital fraud and online crime.
The recognition places the spotlight on collaborative, cross-platform journalism and the increasing global attention on cybercrime originating from and affecting multiple regions.
The Pulitzer Prize is among the highest honors in journalism, awarded annually to recognize excellence in reporting, commentary, and public service.
