Class 10 Student Dies After Falling From Double-Story House in South Kashmir’s Bijbehara

Anantnag, May 7, KNT: A 16-year-old student died after falling from a double-story residential house in the Uranhall area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Warak, son of Gulzar Ahmad Warak, a resident of Uranhall Bijbehara. He was a Class 10 student.

Officials said the teenager suddenly fell from the upper portion of his double-story house and sustained critical injuries.

He was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara for treatment. However, due to the severity of his condition, doctors referred him to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced medical care.

The student later succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS, officials said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. [KNT]
