Driver Killed in Road Accident at Nachlana, Rescue Teams Launch Joint Operation
Banihal, May 17, KNT: A driver lost his life after a road accident was reported in the Nachlana area on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway on Sunday, officials said.
Authorities said the driver died on the spot in the accident, following which multiple rescue and emergency response teams rushed to the scene to carry out assistance and recovery operations.
Teams from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police Banihal, Jammu and Kashmir Police Ramsoo, NGO Banihal, and Civil Quick Response Team (QRT) Ramsoo jointly responded to the incident.
Officials said rescue and assistance operations were launched immediately after the accident was reported. Efforts were focused on securing the area and extending necessary support at the site.
The identity of the deceased driver was not immediately available at the time of filing this report.
Further details regarding the cause of the accident and the type of vehicle involved were awaited.
