Srinagar, May 22, KNT: A badly damaged stretch of road near Ration Ghat in the Old Rambagh area of Srinagar has become a cause of concern, with commuters and local people describing the route as dangerous and increasingly difficult to navigate.

The damaged portion of the main road is marked by uneven surface conditions and visible deterioration, creating inconvenience for motorists, pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.

People using the route said the condition of the road poses safety risks, particularly during peak traffic hours and adverse weather conditions when damaged surfaces become more hazardous.

The road serves as an important link in the locality and witnesses regular movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

Locals and commuters urged the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department to take immediate notice of the deteriorating condition and undertake necessary repairs before the situation leads to accidents or further inconvenience.

They said timely intervention and restoration work would not only improve mobility but also address growing safety concerns associated with the stretch.  [KNT]
