
Srinagar, June 5, KNT: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Police Station Nishat on Friday organized a tree plantation drive aimed at promoting environmental conservation and raising awareness about the importance of preserving ecological balance.
The programme witnessed participation from members of the local community, who joined police personnel in planting saplings at designated locations.
Station House Officer (SHO) Nishat, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmad, along with other police officials, actively participated in the plantation campaign and encouraged residents to contribute towards environmental protection through collective efforts.
Officials said the initiative was organized to promote environmental awareness and highlight the importance of increasing green cover to safeguard the ecosystem for future generations.
Participants emphasized the need for sustained community involvement in environmental conservation and stressed the importance of protecting natural resources amid growing ecological challenges.
The event concluded with a pledge by participants to continue supporting initiatives aimed at maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
