JKAS Officer Found Dead at Jammu Residence

Jammu, June 25, KNT: A Jammu Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officer was found dead at his residence in Jammu on Thursday, officials said.

The deceased has been identified as Romeen Sheikh, a 2005-batch KAS officer and a resident of Salian in Surankote area of Poonch district. He was serving as Joint Director, Handloom Department, Kashmir Division.

Officials said Romeen Sheikh was found dead at his residence on Thursday morning. The exact cause of his death was not immediately known and is being ascertained.

Official sources said the body has been taken for necessary medico-legal formalities, while the concerned authorities have initiated proceedings to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
