ACB arrests Treasury clerk while accepting Rs 20,000 bribe in J&K’s Rajouri

Rajouri, Sep 9, KNT: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested Khadim Hussain, a clerk posted at the Government Treasury Kalakote in Rajouri district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
According to the complaint received by the ACB, Hussain had allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from the complainant in connection with official work.
After the complainant approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the agency verified the complaint and laid a trap at Kalakote.
Hussain was allegedly caught while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 from the complainant during the trap operation. He was subsequently arrested by the ACB.
The ACB has initiated further proceedings in the matter and is carrying out the investigation into the alleged bribery. [KNT]
