Ramban, June 9, KNT: Four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel sustained critical injuries after a convoy bus reportedly lost control and rammed into two vehicles near Peerah on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) on Tuesday.

The accident reportedly occurred after the bus suffered a brake failure while moving along the highway, resulting in a collision with two vehicles.

The incident disrupted traffic movement on one of the region’s busiest road links and led to the closure of the uptube, with authorities diverting traffic through the downtube to maintain vehicular movement.

The injured BSF personnel were shifted for medical treatment. Their condition was reported to be critical.

Officials are assessing the circumstances surrounding the accident, while traffic management teams were deployed to regulate movement in the affected area.

The crash triggered congestion along the highway as authorities worked to clear the damaged vehicles and restore normal traffic flow.

Further details regarding the identities of the injured personnel and the condition of the occupants of the other vehicles were not immediately available. [KNT]
