‘Zonal Police Is Always There for You’: Newly Appointed IGP Kashmir Sujit Kumar
Srinagar, Aug 28, KNT: Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Sujit Kumar on Friday assured people that the Zonal Police would remain available to them and work for their safety and welfare.
Talking to reporters, Kumar said the people should also extend cooperation to the police in carrying out their responsibilities.
“I want to assure the people that the Zonal Police is always there for you. People should also cooperate with us. We are for the people,” the newly appointed IGP Kashmir said.
Kumar’s remarks came a day after taking charge as IGP Kashmir, with the officer stressing the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and ensuring effective policing across the Kashmir Valley. [KNT]
