Crime Branch Searches Safakadal House Over Alleged Forged Documents Used for Police Appointment

Srinagar, Aug 21, KNT: The Special Crime Wing Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K conducted a search at a residential premises in Safakadal, Srinagar, as part of an investigation into the alleged use of forged documents to secure an appointment in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.
The search was carried out at the residence of SG Constable Manzoor Ahmad Najar under a warrant issued by the Special Mobile Magistrate (PT&E), Srinagar.
The case stems from allegations that forged documents relating to date of birth and educational qualifications were submitted in connection with a police appointment.
The search was conducted in connection with FIR No. 10/2026 registered under Sections 420, 468 and 471 RPC.
Crime Branch officials said the search was part of the ongoing investigation and was conducted in accordance with the prescribed legal procedure.
