Shopian, May 29, KNT: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died after collapsing inside a camp in the Zainapora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, officials said.
The ASI was posted at the Horticulture Camp in Zainapora when he suddenly fell unconscious inside the premises, prompting immediate evacuation by fellow personnel.
He was shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Zainapora for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival, officials said.
The deceased was a resident of the Rajbagh area of Kathua district.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
