CIA Reportedly Working With Iranian Opposition to Spark Uprising

Western media have been claiming that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is working with opposition groups to trigger an uprising in Iran, amid escalating tensions in the region.
Media reports suggested that US intelligence agencies were coordinating with anti-regime elements inside Iran. However, no official statement from the US administration or the CIA has confirmed such involvement.
The development comes at a time of heightened military and political confrontation between Washington, Tel Aviv and Tehran following recent air strikes and retaliatory actions in the Gulf region.
Security analysts note that allegations of foreign intelligence agencies backing opposition movements have historically surfaced during periods of conflict. Iran has previously accused the US and allied nations of attempting to destabilize its government through covert means, a charge consistently denied by American officials.
CNN reported that the CIA is working on plans to arm and support opposition elements in an effort to exploit internal dissent and challenge the Iranian regime amid ongoing regional conflict. The discussions are understood to involve coordination with anti-government groups along Iran’s borders and are part of broader strategic deliberations by the Trump administration.
Diplomatic channels remain tense as global powers monitor the unfolding situation in West Asia. [KNT]
