Education Department Shifts CEO Baramulla, Hands Charge to Joint Director North Kashmir

Srinagar, April 23, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday ordered the attachment of In-charge Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla, Abdul Rashid Mir, to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) with immediate effect.

The decision was issued through Government Order No. 159-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated April 23 from the Civil Secretariat Jammu.

Mir was also holding additional charge as CEO Bandipora at the time of the order.

The order stated that the action has been taken by the competent authority and shall come into force immediately.

It further directed that the Joint Director, Education (North) Kashmir will look after the responsibilities previously assigned to Mir, in addition to his own duties, until further orders.

No reason has been specified in the order for the attachment. [KNT]
