Infiltration Attempt Foiled in Rajouri Sector Along LoC

Rajouri, Mar 4, KNT: Alert troops deployed along the Line of Control in Rajouri district engaged suspected infiltrators near the Turkandi forward post early Wednesday, successfully preventing an attempted cross-border intrusion.

Officials said movement of unidentified persons was detected near the fence at around 4:30 am. Sensing an infiltration attempt, the Army fired towards the direction of the movement, compelling the suspects to withdraw.

Additional forces were immediately mobilised to the sector, and a search operation has been initiated to comb the surrounding area to ensure no infiltrator has managed to enter this side.

Security deployment has been further strengthened in the belt as a precautionary measure. [KNT]
