Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has claimed that Pakistani and Qatari mediation has achieved major progress in efforts aimed at ending the Lebanon conflict, easing economic restrictions on Iran and launching reconstruction initiatives.

In a post shared on social media, Araghchi said, “Tireless Pakistani and Qatari mediation has delivered major progress to end Lebanon War. Oil and petrochem exports are waived, blockade lifted, some frozen assets released, and major reconstruction & development plan launched for Iran.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister further described the establishment of a “Lebanon deconfliction cell” as the first real test of the understandings reached through the mediation process.

Araghchi’s remarks indicate what he described as significant diplomatic progress involving Pakistan and Qatar, which he credited for facilitating negotiations and advancing efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region.

The statement comes amid heightened diplomatic activity involving regional and international stakeholders seeking to address multiple security and economic issues linked to the wider Middle East situation.
