Pawan Hans Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Reasi, All Passengers Safe

Reasi, Feb 24 KNT: A Pawan Hans helicopter made an emergency landing at Jyotipuram in Reasi district of Jammu region after reportedly developing a technical snag during flight, officials said.
The helicopter, which was flying from Jammu to Kishtwar, was forced to make a precautionary landing following the reported technical problem.
Officials said all passengers on board the chopper are safe.
Among those travelling in the helicopter was Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Jammu and Kashmir, Sheetal Nanda.
According to official sources, the helicopter landed safely at the Ram Leela Ground in the Jyotipuram area after the pilot detected the technical issue during the flight.
Authorities said the emergency landing was carried out as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
Officials added that further technical examination of the helicopter is likely to be carried out before it resumes operations.
Pawan Hans helicopters are deployed in Jammu and Kashmir to provide strategic air connectivity to priority and remote areas of the region. [KNT]
