Prof Seema Singh Appointed Dean Students Welfare at Kashmir University

Srinagar, June 1, KNT: Kashmir University has assigned Prof Seema Singh, Professor in the Department of Botany, the additional charge of Dean Students Welfare with immediate effect.

The appointment marks an important administrative change in one of the University’s key student-related offices responsible for welfare, coordination and engagement with students across campuses and departments.

According to an official order issued by the University administration, Prof Seema Singh shall function as Dean Students Welfare in addition to her existing responsibilities in the Department of Botany.

The order also states that Prof Pervez Ahmad has been relieved from the charge of Dean Students Welfare.

University authorities said the arrangement shall remain in place until further orders.

Prof Seema Singh is a well-known researcher whose work focuses on Plant Tissue Culture of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of the Kashmir Himalaya. She has around 20 years of teaching and research experience at the Department of Botany, University of Kashmir. [KNT]
