JKPSC Submits 67th Annual Report to LG; 1,152 Selections Made During 2025–26
Srinagar, August 1, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has submitted its 67th Annual Report for the year 2025–26 to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, highlighting major reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, efficiency and merit-based recruitment in the Union Territory.
The report states that the Commission made 1,152 selections against 1,263 advertised posts during the year, reflecting a high rate of recruitment across various government departments. It also underscores the Commission’s continued efforts to expedite the recruitment process while maintaining fairness and accountability.
According to the report, JKPSC has adopted a 100 per cent written examination-based recruitment system, eliminating interviews for applicable posts to ensure greater transparency and merit in the selection process.
The Commission further said that several technology-driven initiatives have been introduced to streamline recruitment procedures, improve efficiency and accelerate the selection process while ensuring fairness and credibility.
Officials said the reforms are aimed at making the recruitment system more transparent, reducing delays and enhancing public confidence in the Commission’s functioning. [KNT]
