LG Hands Over Appointment Letter to Son of Police Personnel Killed in Anantnag Attack

Budgam, August 1, KNT: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday handed over an appointment letter to Absar Ashiq Qureshi, son of Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who was killed while on duty during the July 22, 2026 attack in Anantnag.

The appointment letter was presented during a function held at Raj Bhavan in the presence of the family members of the deceased police official.

During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor expressed condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the police personnel for losing his life in the line of duty.

He also assured the family of all possible assistance and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting the families of police personnel who die while performing their official duties.
