Six-Year-Old Girl Killed After Dumper Runs Over Her in North Kashmir’s Kupwara
Kupwara, July 1, KNT: A six-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a dumper in the Vodhpora area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday, police said.
The victim, identified as Habsa Ishaq of Khuramabad, Vodhpora, sustained critical injuries in the accident and died on the spot.
Officials said the accident occurred when a dumper bearing registration number JK02CR-6027 struck the child. Soon after the incident, police reached the spot and initiated legal proceedings.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested, the dumper was seized and a case has been registered. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the fatal accident. [KNT]
