Three Youth Injured in Motorcycle Skid Accident in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 11, KNT: Three youths were injured after a motorcycle they were riding reportedly skidded off the road in the Babademb area of Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.

The injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.

The incident highlights concerns over road safety as accidents involving two-wheelers continue to be reported from different parts of the city.

Officials said the trio was riding a motorcycle when the vehicle reportedly lost control and skidded off the road at Babademb, resulting in multiple injuries.

The injured have been identified as Zayan Kumar, son of Bilal Ahmad Kumar, a resident of Habakadal, aged about 17 years; Farman Ahmad, son of Sarfaraz Ahmad, a resident of Habakadal, aged about 18 years; and Mustaqim Bhat, son of Muzafar Ahmad Bhat, also a resident of Habakadal, aged about 19 years.

Locals and passersby rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital sources said the injured boys were admitted for treatment after sustaining multiple injuries in the accident.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further details are awaited. [KNT]
