Kupwara, April 2, KNT: A fatal road accident in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday left one person dead and two others injured after a vehicle veered off course and struck a roadside tree, officials said.
The crash occurred in the Wavoora area, where the impact left the occupants critically injured and triggered a swift evacuation to a nearby hospital.
One of the injured succumbed during treatment, officials said, identifying the deceased as a local resident of the area.
Two others remain under medical care, with hospital sources describing their condition as under observation.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the crash. [KNT]
