Two Drug Peddlers Arrested With Heroin in Udhampur

Udhampur, Aug 20, KNT: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested after police recovered 5.22 grams of heroin from their possession during checking at Phalata Naka in Udhampur district.

The arrested persons have been identified as Akash Kumar and Ajay Singh.

Police said the duo was intercepted at Phalata Naka and the suspected heroin was recovered from their possession.

Following the recovery, FIR No. 206/2026 under Sections 8, 21 and 22 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rehambal.

Further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the source of the contraband and establish any other links associated with the case. [KNT]
