Two Non-Locals Including a Woman Arrested with Heroin in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 28, KNT: Police in the Kralkhud area of Srinagar on Tuesday arrested two non-local individuals during a checking operation and recovered heroin from their possession, officials said.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Menu, wife of Roshan Ali, aged about 45 years, and Manan Ahmad Sheikh, son of Roshan Ali, aged about 29 years. Both are residents of Najeebabad in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, the duo was intercepted during routine checking, during which heroin was seized from them. Following the recovery, both individuals were taken into custody.

Police said a case has been registered under FIR number 19/2026 at Police Station Kralkhud under sections 8/21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Further investigation into the case is underway. [KNT]
