Jawallapora Road in Budgam Headquarters Lies in Disrepair Despite Public Plea to R&B Department

Budgam, Oct 12: KNT: The dilapidated condition of the road at Jawallapora, a village near Budgam district headquarters, has caused inconvenience for residents, who say the stretch remains in poor condition without macadamization despite bringing the issue to the Roads and Buildings Department’s notice.

According to the information received, the public has raised the matter with the Executive Engineer of the R&B Department, seeking attention to the damaged road. However, locals say no visible action has followed so far, leaving the road in a state of disrepair.

The condition of the road has raised concerns over the lack of maintenance of a route serving a village situated near the district headquarters. The absence of macadamization has added to public frustration, with residents seeking intervention from the concerned authorities.

Locals alleged that Executive Engineer R&B Department is prioritizing those roads and lanes which are already in good condition but due to unknown reasons ignoring Jawalapora road. Efforts to contact the Executive Engineer Budgam didn’t materialize. [KNT]
