Police, CRPF Deploy Sniffer Dogs During Checks in Srinagar City Centre

Srinagar, Aug 20, KNT: Security checks were intensified in and around Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Thursday, with police and CRPF personnel carrying out searches of parked vehicles and other areas as part of a security exercise.

Srinagar Police, along with personnel of 132 Battalion CRPF, conducted checking in Lal Chowk and adjoining areas.

The security teams also searched the parking lots, checking vehicles parked in several areas.

Sniffer dogs were deployed during the checking operation to assist security personnel in examining vehicles and the surrounding area.

The exercise was part of heightened security checks in the city centre, with personnel inspecting vehicles and carrying out searches at identified locations. [KNT]
