Kargil, April 5, KNT: People of Kargil in Ladakh have joined a broader regional donation drive for Iran, contributing cash, gold, vehicles, and personal belongings as part of ongoing humanitarian support efforts linked to the conflict in West Asia.
The scale and variety of contributions have drawn attention, with reports indicating that people have donated not only money and jewellery but also assets such as cars, motorcycles, and other valuables.
The donations are part of a wider campaign across Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas, where individuals from different backgrounds have been participating in relief efforts. Contributions have included gold ornaments, household items, and other possessions, reflecting a strong public response.
In some instances, children and young individuals have also taken part by contributing personal belongings, including bicycles, as a gesture of support for those affected by the conflict, according to local accounts and circulating reports.
