Residents in parts of southern Lebanon have alleged that properties were damaged and household items stolen during ground operations by the Israel Defense Forces, as cross-border hostilities with Hezbollah continue.
According to local accounts cited in regional media and social media posts, people claimed that motorcycles, refrigerators, and other household belongings were missing after Israeli forces withdrew from certain areas. These claims, however, could not be independently verified, and no official confirmation has been issued by Israeli authorities.
The allegations come amid extensive reports of structural damage to homes and civilian infrastructure in southern Lebanon, where villages near the border have witnessed repeated exchanges of fire. International organizations and media outlets have documented destruction of residential properties, though attribution of individual incidents varies.
The conflict centers on escalating hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, with both sides engaging in cross-border strikes. Israeli forces have carried out air and ground operations targeting what they describe as militant positions, while Hezbollah has responded with rocket and missile attacks into northern Israel.
Casualties have been reported on both sides. Israeli military statements have confirmed deaths and injuries among its personnel during engagements along the Lebanon border, particularly in attacks involving anti-tank missiles and rocket fire. Hezbollah has also reported casualties among its fighters, while civilian deaths and injuries have been reported in Lebanon due to strikes in populated areas.
The situation remains fluid, with continued military activity raising concerns over further escalation and humanitarian impact in the region.
