10-Year-Old Boy Injured After Hit-and-Run in Shopian

Shopian, June 2, KNT: A 10-year-old boy was injured after being struck by an unidentified vehicle in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday, officials said.

The incident occurred in the Check Keller area where the unknown vehicle allegedly hit the minor and fled, leaving him injured.

The injured boy was identified as Sahil Ahmad Gakhad, aged about 10 years, son of Mohammad Ishaq Gakhad, resident of Mastpora, Check Keller.

Following the accident, the injured child was immediately evacuated to Sub-District Hospital Keller for initial treatment.

Officials said he was later referred to District Hospital Pulwama for advanced medical care.

The vehicle involved in the accident remained unidentified, while further details were awaited. [KNT]
