Airtel expands family postpaid plans with Apple cloud, TV and gaming benefits

Bharti Airtel on Tuesday announced an expansion of its family postpaid offering, adding Apple’s iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade benefits to its ₹999 and higher family postpaid plans.

The company said the expanded offering combines cloud storage and synchronization through iCloud+ with access to Apple TV’s original series and movies and Apple Arcade’s game catalog.

Under the offering, Airtel customers can use iCloud+ to store, sync and access photos, files, passwords, contacts and other information across Apple devices. The service also provides backup capabilities to help users restore their data when setting up a new device.

Apple TV provides access to the company’s original series and movies, while Apple Arcade offers access to a catalog of games without advertisements or in-app purchases.

Airtel said its ₹999 family postpaid plan covers a family of three and includes unlimited data, Fastlane technology and spam protection, along with entertainment subscriptions. The addition of the Apple services expands the digital benefits available under the plan.

Amit Tripathi, Director, Market Operations, Bharti Airtel, said the company was focused on bringing connectivity, entertainment and digital services together through its family postpaid plans.

“With the addition of Apple’s iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade to our family postpaid plan offerings, we are taking this proposition a step further,” Tripathi said.

Customers can upgrade to the eligible plans through the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel store.

Airtel and Apple had earlier entered into a strategic partnership under which Apple TV+ was made available to Airtel postpaid customers on select plans. Airtel’s current terms list ₹999, ₹1,199, ₹1,399 and ₹1,749 postpaid plans among those eligible for Apple TV+ benefits.
