Budgam, July 24, KNT: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited Lalpora in Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district to offer condolences to the family of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel Ashiq Hussain, who was killed in the line of duty in Anantnag few days ago.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor met the bereaved family and expressed sympathy over their loss.
Manoj Sinha conveyed his condolences to the family and assured them of the administration’s support during this difficult time.
He also paid tributes to the police personnel’s service and commitment and prayed for peace to the departed soul while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family.
Ashiq Hussain was shot dead by alleged militants in the Lal Chowk area of Anantnag on Wednesday, following which security was heightened across Kashmir. [KNT]
