Srinagar Man Dies After Electrocution at Home

Srinagar, June 22, KNT: A 35-year-old man from Srinagar died after allegedly suffering an electric shock at his residence in the Rainawari area of the city on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Asif Ahmad Mir, son of Fayaz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Rainawari. According to family members, he sustained an electric shock while at home and was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in an unconscious and critical condition.

Hospital sources said the patient was brought to the emergency department in a critical state. However, despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Family members told authorities that the electrocution occurred inside the victim’s residence. The exact circumstances leading to the incident were being ascertained.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated the necessary proceedings. [KNT]
