Representatives from regional powers met in Pakistan on Sunday to discuss efforts to end the ongoing conflict involving Iran, as fighting between Iranian forces and US-Israeli operations entered its second month.

The diplomatic engagement comes amid continued military escalation, with strikes intensifying across Iranian territory and fears growing over a broader regional confrontation.

The conflict has already disrupted regional stability and raised concerns over global energy routes and security, prompting urgent diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire.

Officials said the meeting in Pakistan brought together key regional stakeholders to explore pathways to de-escalation, though no immediate breakthrough was reported.

Meanwhile, Israel and the United States continued coordinated strikes on targets inside Iran. The Israeli military said it had destroyed missile installations and air defence systems as part of its ongoing operations.

Tehran has been among the hardest-hit areas, with repeated strikes reported over recent days.

Gulf states have also been drawn into the conflict, intercepting Iranian projectiles in what officials described as defensive measures to protect regional airspace.

In Washington, Vice President JD Vance said military objectives were “nearly met,” suggesting the campaign could be approaching a decisive phase.

However, Iran accused the United States of preparing for a possible ground assault, escalating tensions further.

Reports indicate that thousands of US troops are already present in the region, though officials have not confirmed any imminent ground operation.

In Israel, protests in Tel Aviv turned violent, with police making multiple arrests as demonstrators clashed with security forces over the ongoing war.

Residents expressed concern over the prolonged conflict and its domestic impact.

“This war is affecting everyone. People are tired and worried,” said a protester in Tel Aviv.

Diplomatic sources said the talks in Pakistan are expected to continue, though achieving consensus among regional powers remains challenging.

The situation remains fluid, with both military and diplomatic developments unfolding simultaneously.
