Srinagar, April 19, KNT: Both automated teller machines (ATMs) of Jammu and Kashmir Bank located near Gousia Hospital in the Khanyar area of Srinagar are currently non-functional, causing inconvenience to attendants and local residents.

The disruption has affected people relying on the machines for cash withdrawals, particularly attendants at the nearby hospital who require immediate access to money.

Locals said the ATMs have remained out of service for an extended period, forcing them to travel to other areas in search of working machines.

The issue has raised concerns about the reliability of banking infrastructure in the area, with residents alleging that such breakdowns occur frequently.

They said there appears to be a lack of timely maintenance, as no visible efforts have been made to restore the machines to working condition.

The situation has added to the difficulties faced by people in the locality, especially those dealing with medical needs at the hospital.

Locals have urged the bank authorities to take immediate steps to repair the ATMs and ensure consistent service availability. [KNT]
