Omar Abdullah Thanks Mehbooba for Oath Ceremony Invitation

Srinagar, April 2, KNT: National Conference leader and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday thanked Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti for inviting him to the oath-taking ceremony scheduled to be held on April 4 in Jammu.
According to party sources, Mehbooba Mufti personally telephoned Omar Abdullah and extended the invitation for the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in the winter capital.
Omar Abdullah later took to social media platform Twitter to acknowledge the gesture. In his post, he described the invitation as gracious and expressed his willingness to attend the ceremony in Jammu on April 4.
The PDP-BJP coalition government is slated to take oath in Jammu, marking the formal assumption of office following political consultations between the alliance partners. Preparations are underway in the winter capital for the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by political leaders, senior officials and other dignitaries.
The event will formally pave the way for Mehbooba Mufti to assume charge as head of the coalition government. [KNT]
