Jammu, June 28, KNT: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Mehraj Malik on Sunday levelled serious allegations against the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, claiming that police personnel accompanying the official pointed their weapons at Indian Army personnel after the officer’s convoy was allegedly delayed by around 10 minutes.

In a post on social media platform X, Malik alleged that the incident reflected misuse of authority and questioned why no action had been initiated against the officer.

“DC Kishtwar by using police pointed their weapons at Indian Army personnel simply because his convoy was delayed by 10 minutes,” Malik wrote.

He further questioned why the Public Safety Act (PSA) would not be invoked if such an incident had indeed taken place and asked why the BJP had remained silent over the matter.

Malik also alleged that such incidents have eroded public confidence in governance, claiming that power was increasingly being used as a tool of intimidation rather than public service.  [KNT]
