Policeman Critically Injured After Being Hit by Car During Naka Duty in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 21, KNT: A police constable was critically injured after being struck by a speeding car while performing naka duty in the Miran Sahib area of Jammu on Saturday afternoon.

Officials identified the injured as Harnam Singh, 47, son of Janak Singh, a resident of Hunder village of Reasi district. He was on routine checking duty when a Swift car reportedly hit him, leaving him seriously wounded.

He was immediately rushed to the Government Medical College Jammu for initial treatment. Given the seriousness of his condition, he was later referred to the Command Hospital Udhampur for specialized medical care, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further proceedings are underway. [KNT]
