Motorcyclist Killed After Accident in Pampore Area

Srinagar, May 9, KNT: A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after meeting with a road accident in Seerbagh Shalina area of Pampore on Saturday, officials said.

Officials said the deceased was identified as Ghulam Hassan Sofi, son of Mohammad Sultan Sofi, a resident of Seerbagh Shalina.

According to officials, the victim was riding a motorcycle when he allegedly lost control and skidded off the road in the area.

He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Pampore, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The body was later brought to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for radiological examination and other medico-legal formalities.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation has been initiated. [KNT]
