Traveller Killed After Shooting Stone Hits Car on Jammu-Srinagar Highway
Ramban, July 15, KNT: A traveller was killed after a shooting stone struck his moving car on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway near Trishul Morh in Ramban district on Wednesday, officials said.
The victim was returning home after dropping another person in Ramban town when a boulder suddenly rolled down a hillside and crashed into his vehicle, causing critical injuries.
Soon after the incident, rescuers rushed him to the District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Tantray, a resident of Seri village in Ramban district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. [KNT]
