Trooper Found Dead at CRPF Camp in South Kashmir, Probe Underway

Pulwama, May 4, KNT: A CRPF personnel died after sustaining a bullet injury inside a camp in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, officials said.

They said the injured jawan was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

The deceased has been identified as a constable of 180 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force, aged around 40 years, who was posted at the Tral camp.

According to sources, the incident occurred inside the camp where the personnel allegedly shot himself. Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. [KNT]
