Police Personnel Dies After Electrocution in Srinagar’s Habba Kadal

Srinagar, May 12, KNT: A police personnel posted with the District Police Lines Srinagar died after suffering an electric shock in the Habba Kadal area of Srinagar on Tuesday, officials said.

The deceased was identified as Selection Grade Constable (SGCT) Veerji Koul, who was posted as a personal security officer (PSO) with social activist.

Officials said the policeman got electrocuted at Purshyar Mandir in Habba Kadal under circumstances that are being ascertained.

He was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings are underway. [KNT]
