Srinagar/New Delhi, April 22, KNT: The All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) has extended its support to paramedical students of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar who have been protesting against a recent fee hike, urging authorities to review the revised structure.

The development comes amid student protests alleging that the new fee structure is significantly higher than comparable courses offered at other institutions, placing financial strain on many families.

Vice President of AIMSA Mohammad Momin Khan said the students’ concerns merit immediate attention and called upon the administration to reassess the fee hike.

He said that education, particularly in the healthcare sector, should remain accessible and affordable, and urged authorities to address the issue without delay.

Khan also appealed for dialogue between the administration and the protesting students to arrive at a fair and transparent resolution.

AIMSA reiterated its support for students on issues affecting their academic future and welfare. [KNT]
