Operation Re-Connect: 160 Missing Phones, 16 Stolen Bikes Recovered in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 26, KNT: In a major recovery drive under “Operation Re-Connect,” Jammu Police recovered 160 missing mobile phones and 16 stolen motorcycles, officials said on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference at Police Station Gandhi Nagar, SP South Dr Ajay said the recovered property was traced during sustained investigation and technical analysis.
He said those who had earlier lodged missing reports were contacted and called to the police station. After verification of documents and ownership details, the recovered mobile phones and motorcycles were handed over to the rightful owners.
He said among the recovered mobile phones, two were high-end iPhones.
Dr Ajay urged people to immediately lodge missing reports in case of loss or theft of property, stating that recovery and return of stolen items is possible only when proper complaints are registered. He said only those individuals who had filed missing reports were eligible to reclaim their property after due verification.
Police said the drive will continue and reiterated their commitment to tracing stolen property and strengthening public trust. [KNT]
