Three Houses Gutted in Pakherpora Blaze

Budgam, July 16, KNT: Three residential houses were completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in the Pakherpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday evening.
According to officials, the blaze erupted in the residence of Nasir Ahmad Magray before rapidly spreading to two adjoining houses in the densely populated locality.
Soon after the incident was reported, teams from the Fire and Emergency Services Department, assisted by local volunteers and personnel from Pakherpora Police, launched a firefighting operation to contain the flames.
The coordinated effort prevented the fire from spreading to other nearby houses, averting what could have been a larger disaster in the congested neighbourhood.
Officials said all three houses were extensively damaged in the blaze. No loss of life or injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been established, and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident. [KNT]
