Jammu, April 15, KNT: Four persons have been detained after they allegedly assaulted employees of the Jammu Municipal Corporation in the Bathindi area of Jammu, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in Ward 74, where a scuffle broke out between local residents and sanitation workers over the issue of non-lifting of garbage.

Eyewitnesses said that JMC workers dumped a heap of garbage outside the house of a local resident, following which family members became enraged and allegedly attacked the employees.

A ward officer, however, said the garbage was placed outside the house after the family members used abusive language toward the workers.
