Srinagar, April 22, KNT: A minor fire incident was reported in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar on Wednesday, partially damaging a readymade garment shop near Lala Rukh Hotel in the city centre.
Officials said smoke was first noticed emanating from the shop without visible flames, prompting immediate alert and response from fire services.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control in time, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent structures in the busy market area.
Authorities said the incident was contained swiftly and no major loss was reported.
