Nine Injured as CISF Bus Skids Off Road Near Tarakote

Jammu, June 28, KNT: At least nine persons, including eight CISF personnel and a civilian driver, were injured after a CISF bus skidded off the road near Tarakote in Jammu on Sunday afternoon.

Officials said the accident occurred when the bus, bearing registration number JK08D-5992 and belonging to 572 Company of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), lost control and veered off the road.

Three injured personnel, Head Constable Sammy Kumar, Head Constable M.M. Dubey and Constable P.K. Trayawere referred to Narayana Hospital for specialised treatment.

The other injured were identified as Sub-Inspector Shiv Charan Meena, Head Constable A. Ramesh, Constable B.D. Singh, Constable B. Srinu, Constable Pratyush and civilian driver Virender Singh.

Officials said the condition of the remaining injured personnel is stable.

The cause of the accident is being ascertained. [KNT]
